alright ladies, i’m not much on politics but i must admit that i looove watching political wives and their fashion choices. i have been hugely impressed and fascinated by the women of this year.

She is fabulous…and stunning. Her Issa engagement dress coordinates beautifully with her sapphire bling.

First Lady Michelle Obama

It was red in 2010, white in 2011 and blue this year…so very, stylishly patriotic. The First Lady looked regal in this Barbara Tfank frock at the State of the Union address on Tuesday night.

No matter what your political opinions are, you’ve got to agree that these ladies are looking good. Total glamazons in my opinion.

Life is good! Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve watched one of my dear friends get married, my little sister has just left on an adventure abroad, and this weekend I got to spend some time with the hometown crew as one of our own joins the Navy. It’s all so humbling and makes me so proud to watch as my family and friends take on new adventures.

The above photo is the only one I have from Friday night’s party! These are two of my niece-pups, Georgia & Elle. The party did contain more than the above cuteness. My guy friends had put on quite the soiree, and they even included a “roast” of our friend Nick, who has joined the Navy. Needless to say, there weren’t many dry eyes in the place by the end of the night – both from laughter and happy tears. Those are the best kind, no?

On Saturday morning, I hopped out of bed and ran a few errands in Aiken. It just so happened that I was able to grab coffee with my friend Erin and catch up. I love a hot cup of joe and good convo! The bonus was the pretty scenery; a local school always has different projects posted on the above wall. Such a great idea for the local community!

I was a little teary as I packed everything up to head back to Hotlanta. I feel so fortunate to have a home that always makes leaving difficult, but I also feel grateful to have people who love me so well in Atlanta. Basically, I am one lucky girl!

Back in Action.

I’m not a huge believer in New Year’s resolutions, but one thing I am a believer in is lists. Once I write something down on a list, it has way more potential of being accomplished than if I just say something out loud or think it to myself. So, I decided to make a list of things that I’d like to become better at this year. Let’s be honest, I make a list for just about everything else going on in my life – why not have a broader one to span across 2012?

Mine is slightly more detailed than this. An on cuter paper, obvi.

Anyway, one of the things on my to-do list for the year is to blog more. I love reading so many different other blogs. People I know, people I don’t, fashion and food and especially ones that make me laugh. I could do an entire post on blogs that literally make me laugh out loud at my desk. So, my attempt for the year is to post more frequently and begin to brainstorm topics that I would personally want to read and laugh about. Also a plus? Brainstorming topics = making another list. Win-win. Speaking of things that make me laugh out loud – I leave you with this pic. Have a fab weekend!

It’s Tuesday afternoon. I’ve gotten through one and a half days of the work week. I’m wishing we were still all having a fabulous weekend in Charleston!

One of our very favorite bloggers on the Real Post Grads got MARRIED this weekend!!! She was absolutely beautiful and I’m so happy I got to be a part of the wedding. With all of us thrown together, we sure know how to get the party started!!

I hate to say it but I took absolutely NO pictures this weekend that are that blog worthy!! I know, weird, huh? I guess we were just having WAY too much fun. Here are a few gems I scrounged up.

The Dueling Pianos were a hit LB! Who knew “Baby Got Back” would be so much better dancing ON the pianos than beside them!!
